As other reviewers have said, Carmen Sandiego holds quite s bit of nostalgia for many of us. Its true that that is there.
The game doesnt tell you how many clues are in each scene and the limited availability of cities and clues related to those cities takes away from the educational aspect of giving this game to a child to learn about geography/history.
Would love to see opportunity to have different levels of clues/mysteries (easy, medium, hard). That would make it a game that could age with a kid (and give them the same love 20-somethings feel).
I have been having problems even running the app. It crashes repeatedly and freezes/glitches. Unfortunately I wouldnt recommend this game (even for nostalgia) until it is less buggy. :/
